Wow - we had the meat platter for two at Third Wave BBQ and it absolutely delivered. The portions were massive, and we were completely full by the end. The meats were slow-smoked and so tender the brisket was rich, smoky flavour and melt-in-your-mouth texture. The variety on the platter was great too — a good mix of meats and sides that gave us a taste of what this place does best. Service was friendly and efficient, and the overall atmosphere was buzzing. We’ll definitely be back in the future! If you’re in Melbourne and love slow cooked meats and American BBQ, Third Wave BBQ is for you!
Fantastic spot and ambience. Staff was friendly and good choice of food. Something for everyone big platters, mains, burgers and large or small starters and sides. We ordered beef ribs and pork ribs and they were absolutely to die for and falling off the the bones. Huge quantity as well. Will be back sure again. Thanks for an awesome dining experience.
Very nice large meals, very expensive, but was worth it. just didn't like it when waitress had to constantly play with the air conditioning & too many stairs, especially for those that have difficulty going up & down them, very bad parking area, range's from 15 to 1 hr, I had to move it to 20 minutes away, too many signs & be aware of parking inspector's, sorry will not attend or recommend, prefer local. Was a good experience going out of our square.
Can’t fault this place. Had a fantastic meal here. We shared a little and I suggest you do too. Bacon was interesting, glad I tried it but probably don’t need to again. The brisket and beef ribs were an experience. Definitely recommend. Do note that while the prices are high, you won’t be hungry! I’m looking forward to what I’m going to try next time.
The food is amazing. We got the plater for 4 and all I can say it would feed 6 adults easily. The BBQ ribs are the best I've ever had. Meat falls of the bone and melts in your mouth. Third Wave BBQ sauce just tops it off. I strongly recommend you try their food. You definitely won't be disappointed.
We made an impromptu visit. It was my Son’s idea. We had a 1 person platter between the two of us, plus a mac and cheese and the smaller milkshake each and the tastes were natural and varied and delicious. We were so full. Environment was homely, music ideal and it was a perfect special meal.
I have been tagged again and again in Third Waves socials posts & finally had the chance to head to Melbourne to try for myself. Ordered the BBQ Banana Split with a side of smokey mac & cheese. The BBQ meat take on the banana split was perfection. The beef ribs were fall off the bone melt in your mouth, the bacon mash "ice cream", the brisket topping, BBQ sauce and of course the spike of candied bacon, every aspect of this meal was on point and above what I expected. The smokey Mac & Cheese accompanied the meal nicely! My only regret was not grabbing a bottle of their sauce to bring back to QLD. The staff were impeccable. Polite & attentive without hovering and even as busy as they were, stopped for a little chat. Will surely visit again! Thank you!
